This place is still fairly new. It has been open for several weeks now (as of August 18, 2017 when we were there). We went for pizza and were surprised to learn that they only have two sizes. An individual and a family. For two people eating just pizza, one size is too small and the other too large. Now when you add an appetizer, like we did, the individual size was just right.
Servers were still new'ish, as is the whole place, and we had several tending to us. The place was almost full inside, and some were eating outside at those tables, so the servers were busy. It did take a little longer than we liked for the appetizer to arrive, but the pizza came to the table without such delay.
The cheese curds were homemade and delicious. I was half tempted to order a second round.
We will visit Papi's in the future and look forward to checking out their breakfast and lunch offerings.
My wife and I visited Papi's on a Monday evening. We tried their cheese curds and ordered a family sized pizza.
The pizza came out very hot and cheesy. I liked the crust and was pleased with the ratio of toppings to cheese and sauce. The Italian sausage was tasty and good quality.
My wife and I have eaten here twice and both times were great. The second time was breakfast and everything tasted great BUT there is sausage in the Country Gravy which is on the breakfast pizzas so that doesn't work well for a vegetarian. BUT the manager (owner I believe) was very nice about it and did say that they were either going to do a gravy without sausage so you have the option or change it so that the pizza doesn't use the one with sausage. The restaurant has only been open for 3 days at this point so it's understandable that a small detail like that could be overlooked. So if you're a vegetarian or just don't want sausage on your breakfast pizza, just make sure to ask for the gravy without sausage.
Price was in the normal range for this area. We did take advantage of some of the drink specials. The entire bill was under 30$. We plan on going back.
We both ordered drinks which came out cold and stayed cold in the frosted glasses they were served in.
Imagine a pizza place that operates like an all you can eat salad bar. There's an outdoor seating area. Time will tell what they'll do with that in the winter. I was unimpressed with their cinnamon on pizza dough "dessert" thingy but the server seemed to think it was the most original idea she had ever heard of. The booths came loose and slid out from under us because they were light weight and not bolted down. Hopefully they will fix that. All in all it was worth the price.
So I am rescinding my last review, we weren't really happy with our pizza last time, but we gave it another try because sometimes people have an off day...I am so glad we did, we decided to go with another pizza and this time it was phenomenal just liked our first visit when they opened, we also ordered the wings, my husband fell in love with them... best he's had in a long time, great flavor and good size...The one thing that doesn't change was the attitude of the staff, which is wonderful because we have always been treated with the utmost respect, every time we have been there, everyone is so friendly....I highly recommend papi's pizza to my friends
As for the pizza, it was pretty good. The crust was thin, but not cracker thin, nor was it thick like a hand tossed. The sauce was sorta sweet, but not overly so. We did green peppers, onions, and sausage. Plenty of toppings of each, but all they could have been spread out more evenly over the pizza.
